Tillie was born with a charisma and charm that would throughout her life have an impact on so many and in so many unique and wonderful ways. The education of her youth, being a wonderful daughter and sister and all her family experiences would pave the way, for her own wonderful journey of life. Tillie would soon successfully fill the roles of a loving wife, dedicated loving mother, loyal and hard working
employee and of course, as time would honor her, to be a very special grandmother.
Tillie loved a good laugh and so it was, that life would bring to her all those wonderful moments to share with so many who would truly enjoy her infectous laughter. Music was just as important to Tillie who always enjoyed the Big Band sounds as well as the rhythms and vibes of latin music. Tillie obviously knew how to take excellent care of merchandise, while providing excellence in customer service in her over 40 years as a dedicated and loyal sales associate; working for stores such as Bullock's Wilshire in Downtown Los Angeles as well as Sears Roebuck.
Tillie demonstrated to her family and friends her eye for detail as a skilled seamstress, a true fashion designer in her own right. Tillie proved time and again to her daughters the dolls that they were, by making them dresses and costumes for many different occasions, including the very festive Folklorico dresses. In addition, Tillie demonstrated to all her family her impressive culinary skills. Tillie was a success at persuading her family to enjoy a healthy ,hearty bowl of delicious Cream of Wheat, allowed them to enjoy and eventually prepare their own versions of her delicious rice, beans, enchiladas, chile rellenos and the ever celebrated TAMALES!!
Tillie is preceded in death by her beloved son Gilbert Leos and her beloved daughter Monica Quijas. Tillie is lovingly survived by her precious daughter Michele Orrante and her very special son Arnold Leos, 15 beautiful Grandchildren and 4 very sweet Great- Grandchildren; not to forget a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all who loved Tillie so very much.
